1. Do I need to know how to pose?

The short answer is no, you do not need to know how to pose. We believe that there is a strong relationship between lighting, posing and composition. So, leave the posing to us. We will help to create a dramatic more subtle approach. Do keep in mind the best photo are created when the is relaxed and open to ideas. However, if you are interested in posing, feel free to read our blog post " Do I need to Know How To Pose? (5 Basic Rules of Posing)"

2. What kind of clothes should be worn for an engagement shoot?

Ultimately it is up to you and the look that you are trying to achieve. However from our experience the best photos are achieved with more of a formal attire.

3. Do I need to have my hair and make up done?

We use an ultra high definition camera which is able to capture every detail, such as hair frizzes, pet fur and specks of dust, so dress to impress.

4. What is the best time to have a photoshoot outside?

The best time for a photoshoot is when the sun is going down during golden hour which is roughly an hour and half before sundown. Always avoid photoshoots around noon when the sun is at its strongest.

5. Can we have a photoshoot anywhere?

We can create the most beautiful photos in the simplest of areas. However beautiful scenery always helps to enhance your photos. Do keep in mind if you are looking to have a photoshoot at a state park there may be a fee to obtain a photo permit. Permit prices can vary so feel free to reach out to us to discuss if your location of choice will need a permit.

6. Can’t you just fix it in photoshop?

A lot can be fixed in photoshop however its not unheard of that it may take an hour to retouch a photo. So to avoid unnecessary additional costs lets do it right the first time.

7. What is a signature edit?

We create dramatic edits that create an image that looks very different from the original photo. These edits are created by focusing on the finer details to create a whimsical Art Deco look that can't be created with only a camera.

Dark and dramatic is the style that we are known for, however we can provide photos that more balanced between bright and dark upon our clients request which must be discussed prior to your photoshoot.

10. What type of camera quality should I expect?

We use an ultra high definition camera which produces 45 megapixel photos, upon request more extensive details can be provided.

11. What is the turn around time on receiving my photos?

We look to provide your photos in a timely manner and in most cases you can expect to see your photos within a maximum of three weeks and as early as within a week.

12. How many photos am I expecting to receive?

Obviously this is dependent upon the length of time of your photoshoot. However we typically produce 100 photos an hour and provide 15 beautiful key edits per one hour photoshoot. This does not apply to weddings, please reach out to discuss our wedding packages.
