Weddings at
Crystal Plaza
Crystal Plaza is a true New Jersey landmark — a Livingston mansion originally built in the late 1800s by famed architect Stanford White, the same hand behind the original Madison Square Garden and the arch at Washington Square Park. Four generations of the same family have run it since, hosting one event at a time. For a couple, that history translates into a venue with genuine architectural character; for a photographer, it's a setting that rewards someone who knows how to light it.
George Pompilio brings his competition-winning off-camera flash to Crystal Plaza, turning the thirty-plus crystal chandeliers, the round marble dance floor, and the venue's distinctive spaces into dramatic, timeless images. One wedding per day means your celebration — from the penthouse bridal suite to the first dance — gets his full attention.
Where the pictures
happen.
Crystal Plaza offers a range of spaces that each photograph differently:
The Grand Ballroom
A 5,000-square-foot room with over thirty crystal chandeliers, a gold-detailed ceiling, ornate columns, a round marble dance floor, and floor-to-ceiling windows. It needs no decoration to look extraordinary — and lights beautifully for first dances.
The Atrium & Gardens
An upstairs atrium with a fifty-foot skylight, plus five acres of gardens with a white-pillared gazebo and Italian street lamps. Both make memorable ceremony and portrait settings.
The Penthouse & The Vault
A 3,000-square-foot bridal penthouse and the sub-level groom's suite known as The Vault — its round vault door is one of the most striking portrait backdrops in any New Jersey venue.
